(Catholic Church). Three First Day Covers, one signed by Terence Cardinal Cooke on 4 Apr. 1968, the day he was installed as 7th Archbishop of the Archdiocese of New York, succeeding Cardinal Spellman; the cover has an image of Jackie Kennedy and President Johnson at the reception. The second FDC is a rare 1968 Christmas cover holding the signatures of all ten American cardinals at that time, including Cardinal Cooke. The third is a souvenir cover of Pope Paul VI's visit to Samoa in 1970, signed by the pilot of his plane, Capt. A.G. Shearer. All very fine.

(Catholic Church) 18th Century Indulgence. 4" x 3" document with a crude printed oval portrait of Madonna and Child, dated Feb. 1771 and inscribed in Italian with the name of the recipient, Luigi Roverelli, and by the member of the clergy, Fran.ce Faciolli. Fine; slight toning.
